Brian Langtry scored six goals, including the first three of the night for Colorado, as the Mammoth gored the Knighthawks, 20-15.

Langtry's triple put Colorado (1-0) ahead 3-1 six minutes into its triumphant title-banner-raising home opener, then contributions from Jason Bloom, Gavin Prout, and Mike Law pushed the lead to 6-3.

Rochester (0-1) rallied, running off five straight goals for a 9-7 lead early in the second quarter. The Mammoth then hit for five of the next seven goals and a 12-11 halftime lead.

Shawn Evans scored twice early in the third quarter for the Knighthawks, while Shawn Williams converted at mid-quarter, and Rochester inched ahead, 13-12, after three quarters.

The fourth, though, was all Colorado, with Langtry and Dan Carey scoring twice each in a seven-goal outburst.

Langtry finished with ten points (6 goals, 4 assists). Williams led the K'Hawks in scoring, on two goals and four assists.

Scott Stapleford scored 41 seconds into overtime to give the LumberJax an 11-10 victory over the Bandits.

Portland (1-0) remained one step ahead most of the first half, owning leads of 2-0, 3-1, 4-2, and 5-3 by the middle of the second quarter.

Consecutive goals by Ryan Powell, Del Halladay, and Brodie Merrill made the score 8-4 before Delby Powless struck just before intermission.

A 3-0 third period for Buffalo (0-1), two goals by Jason Crosbie and one by John Tavares, nudged the Bandits into an 8-8 tie.
