Bandits net fourth unanimous Experts Poll selectionKnighthawks, Rock, Sting fall in latest ballotingR.A. Philly Outsider's Guide Editor in Chief The Buffalo Bandits once again secured the support of every Lacrosse-Network.com Experts Poll voter, earning a perfect score of 77 points for the second straight week and fourth time this season. No team has ever earned unanimous support so many times in one season, but after running off five straight wins (including victories last weekend in San Jose and Arizona), Buffalo has moved from being a highly-regarded .500 team to being the unrivaled league leader. Second-place Calgary, up one spot from last week, is a distant second after defeating San Jose, earning 66 points. That was more than enough to hold off Philadelphia, up to third (59 points) after a thrilling 8-7 victory over Rochester, which dropped two spots to fourth this week (52 points). In another case of a team on the rise blowing by a team in decline in the rankings, Minnesota moved up to fifth this week (46 points), overtaking Toronto (39 points). Toronto had its own concerns, though, barely outpolling Portland and Colorado -- with 38 and 36 points, respectively -- to remain in the top six. While the LumberJax jumped up two spots, the Arizona Sting dropped three after losing twice over the weekend, first to Buffalo and then at Colorado. The Sting finished with a mere 27 points, fourteen fewer than last week. San Jose (15 points) and Edmonton (7 points) remain at the bottom of the weekly rankings. Our panel of seven experts includes a wide range of top lacrosse minds, including Outsider's Guide writers, players, and coaches. Scoring is on an 11-10-9-etc. basis, so that the maximum score a team can earn is 77 points and the minimum is seven points.
