Bandits enter playoffs unrivaled in Experts Poll

Fourth straight perfect score; K'Hawks, Jax far back for 2nd, 3rd

Despite losing in Philadelphia, the Buffalo Bandits remain the team to beat in the Lacrosse-Network.com Experts Poll.

For the fourth straight week, and the sixth time this season, the Bandits drew a perfect score of 77 points in the weekly rankings.

Buffalo stayed on top by virtue of a come-from-behind 8-7 victory over Philadelphia on Friday. That clinched the top playoff seed for the Bandits, and they understandably took their foot off the gas the following night in a rematch with the Wings, a 14-11 loss.

Way back in second place stand the Rochester Knighthawks, who broke out of last week's third-place tie with Toronto by defeating the Rock, 10-7, to clinch a home playoff game -- against, as it turns out, the Toronto Rock. The Knighthawks moved up to 64 points, eight more than last week.

The Portland LumberJax improved two spots to third after winning the Western Division regular season title. The 'Jax won twice last weekend, vaulting to 62 points.

Toronto sits in fourth, with 54 points, one ahead of Calgary. The Roughnecks dropped two games to Colorado over the weekend, and plunged from second place.

The Mammoth, meanwhile, moved up two spots to sixth (43 points), essentially swapping spots with Philadelphia (32 points), which missed out on the playoffs on a tiebreaker. In between sits Minnesota, which won that tiebreaker and drew one more point than the Wings.

The bottom three spots are unchanged from a week ago, with Arizona (23 points) ahead of San Jose and Edmonton (14 and 7, respectively, once again).

Our panel of seven experts includes a wide range of top lacrosse minds, including Outsider's Guide writers, players, and coaches. Scoring is on an 11-10-9-etc. basis, so that the maximum score a team can earn is 77 points and the minimum is seven points.

The complete rankings from this week's Experts Poll, with comments (final regular season win-loss record is in parentheses):
