Parity shuffles top, bottom and middle in Experts PollBandits jump to first place; Roughnecks take major diveR.A. Philly Outsider's Guide Editor in Chief The Buffalo Bandits took advantage of upsets across the league the past few weeks to claim first place in this week's Lacrosse-Network.com Experts Poll. In the last poll, Philadelphia held a big lead over Minnesota for the top ranking. Since then, they've both continued to lose, and the Buffalo Bandits have jumped them both. Buffalo drew six of the eight first-place votes, finishing with 92 points. Philadelphia did a lot to stem the tide by defeating Toronto on Sunday, and managed to fall only as far as second place (87 points, one first-place vote). Minnesota likewise fell one spot, to third, on 78 points and a first-place vote. The shuffling continued all the way down the rankings -- in what likely is an Experts Poll first, every team moved in the rankings. Some teams made notable climbs up the rankings, including Edmonton (eleventh to ninth, 30 points) and Chicago (twelfth to tenth, 19 points), both of whom have been winning of late. Other teams are going the wrong way, most notably the Calgary Roughnecks. Hobbling along in eighth place two weeks ago, the Riggers have since tacked on another loss and are now a league-worst 4-9. As a result, Calgary's point total was just about halved, to 17, putting the Roughnecks in last place, two points behind Chicago and one behind Portland. Our panel of eight experts includes a wide range of top lacrosse minds, including Outsider's Guide writers, players, and coaches. Scoring is on an 12-11-10-etc. basis, so that the maximum score a team can earn is 96 points and the minimum is eight points. The complete rankings from this week's Experts Poll, with comments (win-loss record through Sunday is in parentheses):
