Stealth takes top spot in Experts Poll

Washington edges fellow unbeaten Toronto; Calgary drops to fourth

The Washington Stealth, one of just two remaining unbeaten teams, moved into first place in this week's Lacrosse-Network.com Experts Poll.

Washington, fresh off a 16-15 victory at Calgary, earned 75 points this week, including five of seven first-place votes. The Stealth is 4-0 on the season.

The other unbeaten, the Toronto Rock, moves up from fifth to second after completely dismantling Rochester, 17-3. The 3-0 Rock earned 72 points and two first-place votes.

The Orlando Titans also benefited from the top-of-the-table shakeup, moving up from fourth to third (59 points) despite losing at Boston, 13-9.

The message there is clear -- the Experts feel that Calgary has some work to do if it wishes to repeat as NLL champion. The Roughnecks fell from first place to fourth and drew 57 points.

Among other changes in the latest rankings: Edmonton has improved three places, into a sixth-place tie with Colorado (37 points), while Buffalo has bottomed out, earning a mere nine points, two more than the minimum.

Our panel of seven experts includes a wide range of top lacrosse minds, including Outsider's Guide writers, players, and coaches. Scoring is on an 11-10-9-etc. basis, so that the maximum score a team can earn is 77 points and the minimum is seven points.

The complete rankings from this week's Experts Poll, with comments (win-loss record through Sunday is in parentheses):
